White Cake

½ cup butter, creamed
1 egg beaten
1 cup whole milk
1 tsp baking sodaPinch of salt
2 teaspoons vanilla
My guess for preparation:
I made this on October 1, 2015 to bring to a friend's birthday party. I made it as cupcakes and followed the instructions as listed in the recipe:
Mix ¾ of the sugar with ¼ of the milk, mix 1 tsp baking soda in the rest of the sugar. Cream the butter, add the sugar mixtures, beaten egg, milk, and vanilla. Add the flour slowly and the pinch of salt. As cupcakes, I baked at 350 in a paper-lined pan for 18 minutes. It made 17 cupcakes. I think they came out a little dry, I'm not sure what I would do to remedy that. Perhaps frosting would add enough moisture.... Frosting recipes are still tbt (to be translated).
