Custard Pie & Macaroons



custard pie
4 eggs, beaten

2 ½ cups milk
4 tabelspoon sugar
pinch salt
nutmeg
teaspoon cornstarch dissolved in milk
1 ½ cup flour

½ cup lard

No instructions, just wing it. 


Coconut Crisps (Macaroons)
5 tablespoon sugar
2 egg whites
½ can shredded coconut
¼ teaspoon almond extract
Beat sugar into stiffly beaten egg whites. Continue beating, add in coconut and almond extract. Drop by teaspoon onto baking sheet covered in wax paper. Bake 20 minutes. Makes 18 macaroons
